James F. Bray, 78, of New Castle passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Butler VA Hospital.
Born June 27, 1934, in New Castle, he was a son of Francis J. and Virginia Livingston Bray.
Jim was a private first class in the Army during the Korean conflict.
He was a foreman for the New Castle Refractory Co. and attended Mary Mother of Hope Church.
Jim is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Bray; a daughter, Kathleen Oprean of New Castle; and four grandchildren, Eric, Amber, Alaina and Ean Oprean.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jim was the 48th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook, it reads: “Get him started and prepare to laugh.” Track 10-11, JV football 10, Perfect attendance 11.
