William Franklin Broaddus of Glen Allen, Virginia, died Saturday, August 17, 2012. 

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughters Kim Wells (John, Jason, Ashley) of Varina, Va. and Gina Thompson (Brennon and Zoe) of Fairfax, Va.; and son, Steve (Geri, Kyle, Madison) of Richboro, Pa.; two sisters, Virginia Hanna (Chuck) and Gwynn Conti, both from New Castle,  as well as a host of family and friends.

 He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Elizabeth Broaddus; and brother, John W. and his wife, Katherine Broaddus.

 Bill served in the Army from 1953 to 1957.

 He retired from Bell Atlantic after working 35 years in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Bill was the 52nd classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook it reads: Flashy runner around the track; in athletic prowess, he ne'er gets the sack. Cross country 10-11-12, Track 11-12, Homeroom Representative 12.
