Bob Suber, left, who lives in Oak Park , California, recently visited John Cunningham, who lives in Downey. Bob said, "Now I know why I do not visit him very often. It took 2 1/2 hours to travel 55 miles and half of that was at 65-70 mph. I should have packed a lunch! We had a good time discussing the good, the bad and not too much of the ugly. Had lunch at Maggies Pub and swapped more lies. It was a very enjoyable day which I shall have to do again when I feel up to parking on the freeway." In addition to being classmates at New Castle, they also attended St. Mary's School.
Bob Suber and Barbara Wagner De Minico, who once went to George Washington. They live within two blocks of each other and have been friends for at least 30 years, but didn't know the other once lived in New Castle. Then Barbara was going through her school albums and saw Bob's picture and name and wanted to know if it was him. It was. She attended George Washington and would have graduated with us, but her family moved away. Now she would love to hear from any of her former classmates.
