Frank Cangey

Frank R. Cangey Sr., 79, of Mahoningtown passed away in his home on Sept. 30, 2013.

He was born Feb. 25, 1934, in New Castle to Andrew and Susie Cangey. They preceded him in death.

Frank married the former Cecelia Rotelli on Aug. 3, 1959.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

Frank was an Army veteran, serving with Tank Company, 19th Infantry, 24th Regiment Division. He was discharged in 1957.

He was employed at Babcock and Wilcox and Lockley Manufacturing for many years. 

Frank, an avid hunter and fisherman, belonged to the Lawrence County Sportsman's Association and the NRA for the latter half of his life.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by a son, Frank Cangey Jr. and his wife, Traci; two daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Skip Loader IV, and Michele and her husband, Steve Reno, all of New Castle; a brother and lifelong hunting partner, Gerald M. Cangey of  New Castle; grandchildren, Adam Cangey, Melisa Raybuck and her husband, Brian, Rick Long and his wife, Crystal, Aaron Cangey, Andrew Cangey, Jenna Loader and Anthony Scranati; and two great-granddaughters, Ciara and Chloe Long. 

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Cangey and Stanley Cangey.

Burial was in St. Lucy Cemetery.

Frank was the 68th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook it reads: He'll find a way.
