And a good time was had by all.
Gone but not forgotten

By Sylvia Bailey
(Reluctant farewell from Ne-Ca-Hi to 1952 seniors)

What! Another group is leaving me?
Why they must go, I do not see!
I've just begun to know them now,
But to me they'll sweetly bow
And say ---goodbye ---

I ask you now with heart sincere,
Please do not leave me, for I fear
I'll miss your laughter in my halls,
Your furtive writing on my walls ---
Don't say --- goodbye ---

You say that you must play a role
In your new world -- don't be so droll!
They'll get along without you fine;
Now do not leave me here to pine ---
No, not --- goodbye ---

What was that? I'm being selfish?
There'll be others just as devilish?
We-l-ll-l, you'll come back and see me through?
Then, with my blessings you may go ---
I'll say ---goodbye---!

Graduation Day is Nearing

By Donna Jeanne Lee
(Tune: May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You)

Graduation Day is nearing,
For the Class of Fifty-Two,
May the Good Lord bless the future, May our dreams come true.

In our sophomore year we loved it
And as juniors thought it swell;
Now at last we're mighty seniors
Who must say farewell.

May be long recall the friendships
That have blossomed thru the years;
And our football games and dances
And the band we hailed with cheers.

Now we'll tie these tender mem'ries
With our colors white and blue;
As we leave dear Senior High School
With a fond adieu.
