Jeanne, 70, lived at Sparrow Lane in Cranston, Rhode Island, with husband David.  He graduated in 1951 and lived on the corner of Highland & Leasure Aves.

She died at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence, on Thursday, December 8.

She was born in New Castle, the daughter of the late Ralph and Edith (Lockhart) Cooper. She moved to Rhode Island in 1999 coming from New Jersey.

We were informed of her death by Barbara Monsey Raeburn (Class of 53).

Barbara had this to say about Jeanne: "We (Barbara and husband Jimmy) went to their (Jeanne and David) wedding (June 1957) and the reception was at her house on Hillcrest. We sat on the front porch. Receptions today are so lavish, nobody would believe the receptions of our era!"

Jeanne is the 93rd member of the 52 class to pass on.

She was the 98th person to walk down the aisle at graduation.

Jeanne's activities in high school included: Guidance committee, 12th year; Dofobs 12; Y-teens, 10-11-12; Spanish Club 11-12; Fulmen Romanum 10.

She also made the Honor Roll.

After her name in the Yearbook is this: "Such gentleness, such virtue."
