Robert Deegan, 82, of Fanwood, N.J., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Center for Hope in Scotch Plains, N.J. Born and raised in New Castle, he had resided in Fanwood since 1962. 

Bob had attended the 1965 Reunion in July with his wife, the former Barbara Edgington, also a 1952 classmate.

He attended Penn State University and graduated from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. After leaving Gannon, he served three years in the US Army. Bob started his career in finance on Wall Street in 1960 where he worked until retiring from Morgan Stanley in 2002.

Bob was an avid golfer. He was also a longtime New York Giants fan and had season tickets for many years.
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Dan (and his wife, Lori); his daughter, Robin Musso (and her husband, Jeff); his grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin, Jack and Kate; and his sister, Gloria "Dee" Fischer. He was predeceased by his brother, James.

Bob was the 122th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook, it reads: Gym Team, 11-12.
