Lucy Ann DiThomas Houston, 71, of 415 W. Cherry St., New Castle, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.

She was born Feb. 26, 1935, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Angeline DeMasi DiThomas.

Lucy was a secretary at Lark Enterprises for 34 years. She enjoyed dining out, loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends, and was a devoted Frank Sinatra fan.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane M. and Ricky DeCarbo of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, David T. and Cassandra Houston of New Castle; two sisters, Albina N. Piccirillo of New Castle and Philomena Shaffer of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Houston Sr.; her son, Ralph R. Houston Jr.; her brother, Bartholomew DiThomas; and her sister, Rose Ann DiThomas.

She is the 103rd classmate to pass on.

Lucy was the 135th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. Beside her name in the Yearbook, it reads: "Lucy is a charming lass, a benefit to any class."
