Delores Dolly Reider Doyle, 77, of Hubbard, Ohio, died Friday morning, Sept. 18, 2009, in Northside Hospital Medical Center.
She was born June 17, 1932, in New Castle, a daughter of Fred and Mary Donley Reider, and was a lifelong area resident.
Dolly, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Jewish Christian Dialogue Classes and the Ladies Catholic Benevolence Association Branch 467.
Dolly loved to perform in her younger years. She acted with New Castle Faces of 1955, a theater guild of St. Joseph and St. Vitus churches. She enjoyed camping and going to Tionesta, Pa., to visit with her special friends at Fawn Acres. She was known for her musical talent, often entertaining many with her ukulele and her humor. She also enjoyed writing songs for her friends. Her most recent song was for her dear friend, Father Tim.
Dolly was the family photographer, always behind the camera capturing special family moments. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling to visit her sons and the lights of her life, her granddaughters, Lauren and Claire, and her granddogs, Maggie and Muttley.
Her husband, James Doyle, whom she married June 2, 1956, died April 2, 2005. She leaves two sons, James A. Doyle Jr. of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Thomas P. Doyle of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Sylvia Groves of Hubbard and Erma Theis of Sharon; and two grandchildren, Lauren M. and Claire E. Doyle. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ralph J. Reider, and a sister, Pearl Kreitzer.
Dolly was the 368th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After her name in the Yearbook it says, "Bubbling over with personality."
