Richard C. Fullerton, 75, of Beaumont, Texas, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at his home.

He was born April 20, 1935 to Wayne and Rebecca Fullerton.

He he graduated from Kenyon College with a chemistry degree and from the University of Pittsburgh with a chemical engineering degree.

He worked for DuPont as a quality control engineer for many years in Richmond, Virginia; Chattanooga, Tennessee and Beaumont. He served in the Air Force in Japan.

After retiring in 1993, he did contract work for several years, enjoyed travel, home gardening, music, sports, spicy food, making bird houses and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fullerton; son, Richard K. Fullerton and his wife Patricia; daughter, Becky and her husband Yves Pennec; grandchildren, Bryan and Ariane; sister, Elizabeth Facka; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Fullerton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne, Jr.

Richard was 172nd classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook it reads:

"A true friend is forever a friend." Senatus Romanus 11-12; Spanish Club 11-12; Dofobs 10; Band 10; Home Room Representative 12.
