This is the email we received from Marilyn Canon Harris on Saturday, May 26, 2007:
"On May the 23rd I received a phone call from Carol Taylor who told me that her mother Gail Brown Taylor had died on May the 22nd.
"I was very saddened to learn of Gail's passing. She and I live in the same area and had lunch and a lovely visit this past late autumn.
"Gail had been ill since January and died in a nursing home in this area.
"Gail graduated from Allegheny College after her time at Ne Ca Hi.
"She was the mother of two sons and a daughter and had four grandchildren whom she enjoyed so much.
"She was a Board Member of the Chester County SPCA and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
"Gail and I shared a love of animals and I can remember even from our days at George Washington what an avid cat lover Gail was.
"She and I were in the same homeroom for six years, at George Washington and then at Ne Ca Hi. Gail went to Highland Elementary School.
"I shall miss our times together. We did not see each other often but always enoyed our visits."
Gail Brown was the 53rd classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation.
After her name in the Yearbook it reads: "A beautiful face is a silent commendation." Senatus Romanus 11-12; Spanish Club 11; Y-teens 11; Concert Choir 11-12.
