A person who went to school with us but who didn't graduate with us has died.

Carole M. (Jenkins) Lehberger, 71, of 1418 Randolph St., died the morning of Feb. 19, 2006, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born July 23, 1934, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Fred Jenkins and Lois Rodgers Jenkins Sewall.

She married Donald Lehberger on Aug. 30, 1951. He survives.

Her brother-in-law is Darrell Lehberger, who is a member of the Class of 52.

Carole was a homemaker.

A member of the “Thursday Night” club, she enjoyed bowling and spending time with family and friends.

She was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Scott Russell of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Douglas and Joette Lehberger of Richmond, Va.; a brother, James Jenkins of Canfield, Ohio; and five grandchildren, AmiBeth Stells, Allison Correll, Alyssa Lehberger, Marcus Russell and Micah Russell; and a great-grandson, Colin Parker Stells.
