HARTSTOWN, Pa. — Dorothy L. Miller, 77, of Hartstown, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, in Meadville as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

She was born July 11, 1934, in New Castle, a daughter of Roy and Vera Moose Kaufman. She married Daniel J. Miller on Aug. 15, 1953, and he survives.

She was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Conneaut Lake, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, president of the Ladies Sewing Circle, Mission Project coordinator, Worship Committee chair, custodian and many other positions. Her life was spent in service and dedication to her Lord and Savior. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a special love for nature and a deep love and commitment to her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Dan, include five children, Joseph Miller and his wife, Cindy, of Hartstown, Barbara Miller and her husband, Richard, of Myakka City, Fla., Gary Miller and his wife, Angel, of Hartstown, Sandra Mills and her husband, Tom, of Aurora, Colo., and Theresa Lloyd and her friend, Dave Hurd, of Hartstown; 10 grandchildren, Jason Miller and his wife, Gina, of Greer, S.C., Chad Miller and his wife, Stephanie, of Sarasota, Fla., Sonya Hansen and her husband, Justin, of Westminster, Colo., Adam Miller of Chenaga, Alaska, Kyle Miller of Hartstown, Christal Miller of NAS Virginia Beach, Va., Nicholas Miller of Hartstown, Scott Miller of Hartstown, Tyler Mills of Aurora and Lindsay Lloyd of Hartstown; two great-granddaughters, Ruthie Miller of Greer and Joya Miller of Sarasota; a sister, Isabelle Gerber of Adamsville; a brother, Ralph Kaufman of New Wilmington; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol McClay; and two brothers, Donald Kaufman and an infant brother.

Interment was in Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Dorothy was the 229th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After her name in the Yearbook it reads: Student Guidance Committee 12, Perfect Attendance 10.
