    Thomas D. Quimby, 79, of 145 Cambridge Street passed away July 5, 2012, in Jameson Hospital.
    He was born June 19, 1933, in New Castle and was the son of the late John and Josephine Mulroy Quimby.
    In earlier years, Mr. Quimby worked as a draftsman. He was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous and a member of St. Mary Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.
    He enjoyed watching sports and in earlier years coached little league baseball. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
    Thomas is survived by six children, Maria Allison and husband Larry of New Castle, Leonard Quimby and wife Shana of New Castle, Robert Quimby and wife Sadie of Washington, D.C., and Thomas Quimby, Patty Doran and Leslie Spooner, all of East Palestine, Ohio; a sister, Patricia Frankovitch of Erie; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daugther, Connie Chamberlain; two brothers, John Quimby and Martin Quimby; and his former wife, Theresa Garuccio Quimby Golba.
    Thomas was the 362nd classmate to receive his diploma. After his name in the Yearbook, it says: Quiet and good natured.
