    Ranier A. Devido, 77, of New Butler Road passed away the morning of Aug. 22, 2011, at his home.
    He was born June 13, 1934, in New Castle and was the son of the late Domenick R. and Anna M. Serafino Devido.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Barker, whom he married in 1955.
    Ranier was the founder and past president of Ranier Devido Stone Co.
    He was a member and past elder of Third Presbyterian Church.
    Ranier was a member of the New Castle Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International, and a member of the New Castle Country Club. He was a board member of the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, a member of the Margaret Henry Home board, and a former board member of Jameson Hospital.
    He enjoyed golfing, fishing, table tennis and hunting.
    In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, William Devido and wife Paula of New Castle, Robert Devido and wife Susan of New Wilmington, and Ronald Devido and wife Mary Jo of New Castle; a sister, Doris Frazier and husband Jack of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Brett, Christopher and wife Amber, Darren, Jason and wife Jessica, Mark, Jordan, Jacob and Timothy; and two great-grandsons, Christopher and Jayden.
    Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. Burial is to be in Oak Park Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, Third Presbyterian Church or Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County.
