Collette A. (Rigby) Requate, 73, of Butler died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in Sunnyview Home.

She was born Saturday, Dec. 22, 1934, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Alex C. and Cora J. Humble Rigby.

Collette was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in New Castle. She was also a member of the International Society of Poets.

She attended Slippery Rock University and Wayne State University in Detroit.

She was a caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare before retiring in 1979.

Surviving are a brother, Wallace E. Rigby of New Castle; her longtime companion, Charles Bashline of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Privates services were planned. Burial was to be in Graceland Cemetery, New Castle.

Collette was the 107th classmate to pass on. She was the 375th person to walk down te aisle at graduation.

After her name in the Yearbook it reads: "Keeps everyone in stitches. Y-Teens, 11-12, Literary Club 12, "Our Miss Brooks" 12.
