Mary Joanne Russo Grant, 83, of New Castle died Sept. 5, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Born Aug. 11, 1934, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Helen Lenhart Russo.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dominick L. Grant, whom she married on Aug. 13, 1952.
Mary was a member of St. Vitus Church.
She loved cooking on Sundays and holidays for her family, and was known for making her homemade pizzas.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her children, Gary Grant and wife, Rita; Greg Grant and wife, Melinda, and Michelle Newton and husband, Brian, all of New Castle; grandchildren, Sybil Rossi and husband, James; Dominick D. Grant and wife, Tiffany; Kali Kanter, Marissa Grant, Cara Grant, Adriana Ramovich, Dano Ramovich, Jordan Ramovich, Alina Grant and Christopher Grant; and great-grandchildren, Melina Rossi, Rocco Rossi, Gabriel Hatridge and Elisa Hatridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Dominick F. Grant, Anthony D. Grant and Dianna L. Grant Ramovich.
Entombment was in Parkside Mausoleum.
Mary was the 390th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation.
