Frank "BoBo" Stone, 79, of North Cascade Street passed away at his residence in New Castle.

Born Oct. 29, 1933, in New Castle, Frank was a son of the late Carmen and Dorothy Mitlo Stone.

Preceding him in death on Oct. 17, 2007, was his wife, the former Alice Sipe, whom he married Jan. 17, 1959.

He was a member of the New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Frank was a veteran of the Army Special Forces and served during the Korean Conflict.

He retired from Shenango China, where he was a kiln operator. Frank was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Duca Degli Abruzzi Club.

Survivors include his three sisters, Rose Temperato, Ann Miller and Lucille Cepro, all of New Castle; his niece, Regina Fagnilli; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Mooney.

Interment took place in the veterans section at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Frank was the 419th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook it reads: "A valuable buddy."
