She is the 90th
classmate to pass on.

Born Nov. 21, 1933, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Laura Rich Trepicone.

Her husband, Nick Cangey, whom she married Aug. 27, 1955, died in 1988.

Mary Ann had been a cook at Hill View Manor. She also was the former owner of Mahoningtown Bakery and worked at Dolce Vita Restaurant.

In addition to cooking and baking, she enjoyed trips to Mountaineer Casino with family and friends.

She was a member of St. Lucy Church and Sons of Columbus.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcy and Pete Mendicino of Mahoningtown and Cindi and Rico Shipman of New Castle; a son, Gary Cangey of New Castle; a brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Carol Trepicone of San Diego, California; a sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Larry Heichel of Hermitage, Pa.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rita and Thomas Tommelleo; six grandchildren and five nephews and one niece.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Trepicone.

She was the 442nd classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation.

After her name in the Yearbook, it said: "A quiet lass with modest air and grace."

Panella, 71, of 301
East Fairfield Ave.,
died Sept. 20,
2005 in Jameson
Hospital.

Born Aug. 29, 1934 in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late William and Matilda Wheale Groucott.

She married Attorney William M. Panella on April 25, 1953.  He also is a member of the 1952 class.

Mary Lou was a member of Challenges: Options on Aging.

She was known for her love of animals.

She was a member of St. Camillus Church.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Sheila Panella of New Castle and Kellie and Baker Neal of Huntington, W.Va.; a son, Brian Panella of New Castle; a sister, Marjorie Klamer of New Castle; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Mary Lou was the 91st classmate to pass on.

She was the 188th classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation.
Written after her name in the Yearbook, is: "Attractive blonde, pleasant company for everyone."
She was on the Guidance Committee in her senior year.
