Donna J. Frazier, 83, formerly of Norwood Avenue, died Nov. 17, 2016, at Jameson Care Center. 

Born on Oct. 21, 1933, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Winifred Owens Whiteside. 

On March 13, 1953, she married Carl Bill Frazier, and the two of them spent 60 years together until he died Oct. 15, 2013. 

Donna had worked as a saleswoman for Riggans Advertising. She also had been a swimming lessons instructor for the Water Safety Counsel, and she belonged to a Card Club with her friends. 

Donna is survived by her children, Paula Crawford and her husband, Alan, of Columbus, Ohio, Carla Vargo and her husband, John, of New Castle, and David Frazier and his wife, Mary, of New Castle; her brother-in-law, Jack Frazier of New Castle; her grandchildren, Sarah (Frank) McCauley, April (Dan) Bray, Beth (Shad) Stephens and Joshua (Katie) Crawford; her great-grandchildren, Alan Riggans, Shepard Bray, Alana Bray, Spencer Bray and Kensington McCauley; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Brinley and Robert Whiteside; and her sister, Virginia Morgan. 

Interment was in Parkside Cemetery.

Donna was the 463rd classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After her name in the Yearbook, it reads: Concert Choir 11.
