Joseph H. Wrona, 80, of New Castle, died Aug. 30, 2015, at Clen-Moore Place.

He was born Oct. 16, 1934, in New Castle, a son of the late Stanley S. and Stella P. Gula Wrona. 

Joe was a member St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

He enlisted in the Navy on June 20, 1952, serving during the Korean War, and earning the rank of Seaman. He was discharged on Sept. 23, 1955, in Newport, Va.

Joe graduated in 1962 from Youngstown State University. He retired after years of service with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a customer service representative. He was a member of numerous fraternal organizations in Lawrence County.

He is survived by three brothers, Stanley A. Wrona of Ellwood City, Edward L. (Elizabeth) Wrona of Freemont, Calif., and William A. (Patricia) Wrona of Pulaski; two cousins, Patricia Lysko and Mrs. Michael (Joan) Keul, both of New Castle; and nine nieces and nephews.
Burial took place at S.S. Philip and James Cemetery.

Joe was the 472nd classmate to walk down the aisle at graduation. After his name in the Yearbook, it reads: Shop, Football, JV Basketball 10.
